How well will Baz Luhrmann Execute his Ambitious Biopic Elvis?

Baz Luhrmann is unmatched in his style and visuals. His visuals and style are unquestionably spectacular and eye-catching. The rest of his films are lacking in some areas. He may surprise himself with “Elvis”, his next movie. We’ll see what happens when it hits theatres in June.

Austin Butler will portray the King of Rock while Tom Hanks plays Colonel Tom Parker. Dacre Montgomery, Olivia DeJonge, and Olivia DeJonge are also expected to appear in the film.

This is Luhrmann’s ninth film. Luhrmann’s first film in nine years since “The Great Gatsby” in 2013. Luhrmann and Sam Bromwell wrote the script.

There’s not much more to the film than the February trailer. As you would expect, the film exhibits the extravagant and grandiose style Luhrmann is known for. The film will premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in May.

Austin Butler looks just like Elvis. Although he is not the most attractive boy to play Elvis, many people have said that Butler can imitate Elvis’ movements and voice better than anyone. He seems to have his gravity back as he is able to perform alongside Tom Hanks.

Butler took up vocal coaching even before the filming began. Interview with Hollywood Reporter: Butler confirms that he sings earlier in the movie.

“I set out to make my voice identical when I began the process. This creates fear. Butler explained that this set the fire ablaze.

The story is split into three parts: Elvis in his youth, where he takes most of his inspirations from black gospel; Elvis at work and his last days before his untimely demise. In order to sound closer to the music legend’s voice, Butler’s vocals are incorporated into Elvis’ recording.

Butler says, “I watched as many as I could, over and over,” and goes into detail about how much time he spent learning to imitate The King’s voice.

This movie has a lot of hype. This movie is the first to feature a major motion picture biopic on the musician. As iconic as Elvis is there are only a handful of movies about him. Kurt Russell played him. Jonathan Rhys Meyers was awarded a Golden Globe award for Best Actor in Miniseries or Television Film for the performance of Mr. Presley in a miniseries of two episodes that aired in 2005.
